New iPod Line-up from Apple

iPod touch MP3 player

In case you missed last week's announcements, Apple has released a whole new batch of iPod MP3 players - actually, it's one new player and three significant updates.

The big news was about the new "iPod touch" (above).  It probably looks familiar because the interface is based on the "multi-touch" system used on the iPhone.  Essentially, the iPod touch is an iPhone without the phone - and with Wi-Fi connectivity.  You can browse the web and do all the rest of the cool stuff that iPhone users have been bragging about.

iPod classic media player

The old standard design iPod is now called the "iPod classic" and they've been upgraded to have a ton of storage space - the "classic" comes in 80 GB and 160 GB sizes.  It's doubtful that you have a music library that will fill either box, so you'll have plenty of space to keep your favorite videos, photos, games...

iPod nano mp3 player

Meanwhile, the iPod nano (above) has been given the biggest facelift of Apple's existing players - it's been shrunk vertically - but now has a 2" display screen that can play all the videos, show all the photos, etc that's previously been limited to the standard iPod.
