December 15, 1966 was a sad day in the life of a certain mouse - Walt Disney died at 65 years old. Creator of Mickey Mouse and the entertainment empire that still bears his name, Walt took home 30 Oscars (take that, Spielberg!). In the last decade of his life he saw the opening of Disneyland in California and did the planning for what became Walt Disney World in Florida. We won't speculate on the current location of his head, but Walt Disney was creamated and his ashes interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
