December 18th

Some very expensive violins celebrate a melancholy day today - Antonio Stradivari died on December 18, 1737 in Cremona, Italy.    Stradivari lived to a rather remarkable 93 years old.  His modifications to standard violin design are still the basis for modern violins.  We have no way of knowing if the value of a Stradivarius immediately rose on news of his demise.

Today's Birthdays

Big day for babe birthdays:

Former Mouseketeer and current music superstar hottie Christina Aguilera (born 12/18/1980) is 29 years old today.

Playboy's delicious Miss May 2009, Crystal McCahill, turns 26 today (born 12/18/1983).  Besides having an amazing body, Crystal is notable for being the second "second generation Playmate" - her mom, Gale Olson, was Miss August 1968.

Everybody's favorite redhead Mythbuster (and new mom) Kari Byron (born 12/18/1974) celebrates her 35th birthday today.  35?  She ain't looking like 35.

Tom Cruise's favorite babe, Katie Holmes (born 12/18/1978), turns 31 today.  31?  She ain't looking like 31.

Wrestling babe Trish Stratus (born 12/18/1976) will probably smack you down if you don't wish her "Happy Birthday!" today.

Victoria Pratt, another very fit babe, may not aging next year, as she turns the big 39 today (born 12/18/1970).
